Question #1 = 80% would recommend the book.

* Such an interesting life with so much travelling. Fascinating to read about South Africa in Jane's childhood. Such an adventurer who isn't afraid to go to new places.
* How you connect with your personal interests and personal history---your passion for music and music history, travel, writing, mom's family, dad's family, openness to meeting new people and living in the moment, etc. I felt like I was there through your details, and I loved the pictures! You captured the area so well from a musician's point of view, and you reminded the reader to slow down, look around, treasure what you see, and learn something new. Loved it!
* It is entertaining, interesting and easy to read.
* The picture slide-shows
* The many interesting places you visited, the wonderful descriptions, the photos, the personal comments.
#3 = The only 2 responses so far for this question were -
*Some of the minute details made it feel more like a daily journal rather than a recording of experiences
*Probably it has too many details.
#4 = 80% said Yes.
#5 =
* I think you should provide a reflective ending that ties it all together or summarizes what you learned/took away from the sabbatical experience. A few edits: At the beginning- "Born in George in ____" Fill in the year. Jewish history in January is so interesting but break it down a bit more with bullets or more paragraphs with all the info. Grammatical edit: Feb. 10th under Perhaps improvisational "may be" and June 27th- "Zoe is 7." Thank you for sharing your story :)
* More photos from past and present or photo comparisons of past and present. The child in me loves that!
*To make it shorter
* a few grammatical suggestions.
